My first two frames

I ordered two frames to start with that were not overly challenging. I'm pleased with both, although I have now learned to be absolutely accurate with dimensions. I was most worried about the quality of the mattes and was pleased with both. I found it difficult to mount the original art, however, because of the limited amount of linen tape provided. Every artwork is a little different so I am reluctant to generalize. Now that I had this first experience, I immediately placed an order for another frame for a fine Japanese woodblock print that is a little larger than the first two frames, and am looking forward to see how this one works out. I find the prices to be quite reasonable!

I wish I'd known about this sooner

I have a huge collection of posters I've collected over 50 or so years of fandom. I was having these professionally framed, 10 or so at a time each year for the past 20+ yrs, then my framer died. I tried local alternatives within 1 or so hours (few and not nearly as good as the departed), then came across Level Frames, and bought a few of their frames just to see if the quality was close. I've been extremely happy so far: the dimensions are frighteningly exact, and the cost is usually less than what I was paying from the local pro (so far, maybe 10% less up to 30% less for similar items). No idea yet about long-term protection, but I won't live forever, and I'm happy now. Thanks!

Love the frame. Installing was easy. Only wish I could’ve fine tuned the measurements to 1/16 inches.

Glad to hear it and thanks for the feedback, P.D.! With custom framing, there is usually at least 1/16" tolerance built into the measurements, so hopefully everything fit as needed.

Amazing gift

I received two framed collages of my life with my dog as a gift. They turned out amazing, especially as some of the photos are almost 10 years old from a camera phone. The prints look flawless and the framework was beautiful. :)

Nice quality frame

I ordered these for two odd sized watercolor paintings and included two matts as well. Everything was complete and easy to install. Nice quality and they look perfect.

From the elaborate packaging and enclosed instructions and extras I thought the quality would be higher, especially since I ordered the museum level which is the highest and most expensive. I thought the glass would be glass; not plastic. I thought the frame would be sturdier. Alas, the frame would a better fit than a simple store bought one, but it’s definitely not even close to low level professional framing

Thanks for the feedback, Scott! We cannot ship glass which may shatter during transit, and our Optium Museum acrylic is used by top galleries and museums around the world. It's anti-reflective, anti-static, anti-scratch and protects against UV rays. Some people are surprised by how light it is compared to glass, but that does not mean the quality is any lower than what you find at a high end custom frame shop.
