Excellent product

Turned out so well!! Quality of the photo was exceptional. I was worried it may be a little grainy but it is very clear. I have it hanging above my desk!

Happy update to my Nov. 23 review

After a minor disappointment with my first order, someone from Level Frames did, indeed, reach out to me directly. We discussed the cause of my disappointment and I was convinced to place another order. I am absolutely thrilled with the second order that I received. Two frames, both beautifully made and with perfect mats, were received and are now hanging on my wall. I am exceptionally pleased with how Level Frames reached out to me directly (rare in today’s world!) and made things right. I’m a happy customer.

Amazing experience!

The whole experience was an upside surprise. Great customer service when I made a mistake on my measurements and needed to cancel my first order. The turnaround was fast. The frame was high quality, solid wood, the matting was thick, and the antique white was exactly what I needed for my antique print. With comparable quality, the price was a fraction of my local frame shop.

Then the actual experience of unboxing, framing, and hanging my artwork was so easy. They thought of everything and made it smooth. They even included the screwdrivers I needed. The picture wire was already cut to size and ready to screw to the frame in pre-drilled holes.

Frame was to expectations

The frame came quickly and was what I expected. What I didn't expect was the amount of plastic that accompanied the frame. I will not be able to purchase from Level Frames again unless they are able to implement sustainability practices that reduce the amount of plastic significantly.

We do wrap certain profiles in a light shrink wrap before packaging them up, the intention is to prevent any scuffing of the frame during transit or unpacking. We're always looking to upgrade our packaging materials and methods to be as sustainable as possible, while making sure every frame arrives safely.

Disappointed

The frame arrived in perfect shape. I'm unhappy that the photo was not very clear, it was a national pastry magazine cover my wife and I were featured on. This framing was a tribute to her and her twenty years working with me as Pastry Chefs . Some of the printing in the photo was not legible. The photo looked okay but it almost looks pixilated. For the amount of money it cost, I wish the employees contacted me to tell me the slight increase in picture size would turn out like that. It would have been cheaper to buy a frame and print the photo myself.

Fantastic experience

I utilized Level Frames for the 1st time... a very easy process using the software to pick the frame and color, then uploading the picture. Payment was easy and the product was delivered in perfect condition! My buddy is gong to love his Christmas present!! My experience was so enjoyable that I immediately purchased a second order for myself!!

Nice, but...

The frame looks nice and the At-Home Framing Guide instructions/kit were very helpful. It was quite easy to insert my art. The mat, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. There are some light dirt smudges on the face of the mat that I was unable to clean. Also, the perimeter of the beveled cut opening has an outline that could either be the remains of a pencil line to mark the cut or could be marks left behind by the tool that was used to cut the beveled opening. These marks leave small, distracting “x” markings at each corner of the mat opening. Maybe I’m being too critical and perhaps the average person looking at this piece won’t even notice these items. Time will tell.
