Bob Dylan returned to Columbia Records for his fifteenth studio album, recorded between New York and his native Minneapolis and released in 1975. Dylan has denied that the album's material is autobiographical, but the the songs have been described as "the truest, most honest account of a love affair from tip to stern ever put down on magnetic tape." The record ranked 9th on Rolling Stone's list of the Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020.
